DGAG – Dangerous Goods Advisory Group – INFO
The DGAG bimonthly meeting is normally a general networking / update meeting, open to all, to discuss issues that are going on for Hazardous Chemicals, Dangerous Goods and Chemical Regulation at the moment.

2/ Please let me know of any key Dangerous Goods issues so I can add them to this website or reminder emails

4.1/ Meeting Costs for the Physical Discuss / Chat Meetings (IF they again occur)
For Public Liability Insurance costs, the cost to Hire the Venue, & nibbles/beverages costs, please make a donation of $5-$10 (depending on numbers 20 vs 10) towards these costs.
4.2/ No Direct Meeting Costs for the Webinar Discuss / Chat Meetings
HOWEVER it would appreciated if everyone considers subscribing to Jeff Simpson’s Hazmat & Environment Notes (which is $120 / five issues a year).

e.g. Lithium Ion batteries in vehicles are STILL a particularly difficult hazard for Waste businesses & Emergency Services to manage.
Also, there are now many other pieces of equipment using Lithium Ion batteries where fires have occurred.
e.g. E-Scooters being fast charged inside user’s homes and then burning down the homes.
2/ Updating the ADG Transport Code (based on the ADR with AU information & requirements & changes in the IMDG Code & IATA Regs)
3/ Dangerous Goods (Storage & Handling) Standards & Issues, e.g. proposed Technical Knowledge Requirements for Senior Managers to know.
4/ Chemical Waste Management Problems
5/ Update on the relevant GHS Hazardous Chemicals Regs, Codes, Classification and Training
