The “Hazmat & Environment Notes” help subscribers to meet obligations to keep current & demonstrate this to their management, customers & auditors. As a technical specialist editor, I minimise subscriber’s time, finding & reading the information being generated about chemical management issues.
“Hazmat & Environment Notes” is an inexpensive double check source of information, so that important issues and resources are not overlooked.
My approach is to be a technical specialist editor for you in our chemical management regulatory field, where I intend to provide a useful summary, so you know the full article is highly likely to be relevant, and it is useful to go to it; OR when it is NOT relevant to you, so you do NOT need to click further to the full article to find out. This process mimimises each Notes reader’s valuable time to keep current.
In particular, as a person working in the chemical regulatory field, I closely follow chemical regulatory changes in Australia and New Zealand for domestic, industrial, agricultural and food chemicals (but not veterinary nor therapeutic chemicals), and I keep alert to relevant overseas regulatory changes we need to be aware of.
I look for information that I see as useful to Classify chemicals correctly, prepare Safety Data Sheets, carry out Risk Assessments, to Train, to Network, to implement Cleaner Production, and to move towards a Sustainable Industry.
I encourage everyone to be involved, as we must network together with the limited resources we have, in order to make a difference.
